REVIEW!: NARS Duo in Striptease & Dolce Vita

First I have to say, I love the NARS packaging. Nice and sleek. The colors are always very vibrant and long lasting....But let me also say that I don't like the smell of the lip products. The "I'm-a-Chemical-&-I'm-Going-To-Eat-Your-Skin" smell just doesn't work with me. ESPECIALLY on lip products. With that said...let's get to the pictures!
The lovely sleek black boxes that have become a NARS trademark.
The packaging opened to reveal the mini gloss duo :)
Striptease left, Dolce Vita right.
Swatch of Striptease and Dolce Vita on NC20/25 skin.
As you can see from the pictures they have lovely coloring, the perfect consistencey and great staying power without being sticky. The only (and I mean ONLY) thing that keeps me from re-purchasing these is the smell. If you don't mind chemical smelling lip glosses then these ARE for you. If like me, it gives you a headache and messes with your stomach I would stay away.

REVIEW!: Too Faced Absolutely Invisable Candlelight Powder

First off let me say, this purchase would be worth it JUST FOR the compact! It is b-e-a-utiful! :)

What Too Faced Cosmetics says-
"Capture the etheral glow and ultra flattering light of a romantic candlelit dinner anytime. Apply this breathable, vitamin-enriched powder made with pure gold* onto fresh skin or over foundation to set makeup and impart a soft-focused glow. A powerful dose of skin saving antioxidants help protect and soothe tired skin while the golden-peachy tone warms and illuminates your complexion, reducing the appearance of fine lines and imperfections. Now that's a powder we could fall in love with!"

That is some BIGGG talkin' right there! If this does all it claims to do, it is for sure HG material! Here are some pictures.
Isn't that gorgeous!?
The back. Not as fancy-schmancy :)
In a rather dark part of the room w/ flash.
Natural light & no flash
So far so good! I did a few swatches to try and show you all, but this is where I really got amazed. It COMPLETELY and I mean COMPLETELY matched my skin tone! The only way you could tell that I even swatched it was b/c it DID leave a "soft-focus" finish! It also, didn't make me look like a dusty discoball (which I must admitt, after first seeing the powder in the compact... I was worried about it...)

I have yet to try waring this on my face for a completed look, but you can betcha' booty I will be soon!

Favorite MAC Blues! :)

Deep Truth
This is a BEAUTIFUL dark, almost navy blue. It has slight shimmers in it, but they cant be seen unless you are really looking for them! In the pan it looks like a dark night sky blue.

Electric Eel
This is a lovely matte-ish Carribean water blue. Exactly what I would expect to see in an ocean on a bright sunshine-y day :) In pan this looks like a VIBRANT electric (ha, no pun intended) blue.

Tilt
This is a blue/purple shiny color. I was kind of stuck on whether to add this to the purples or blues but in pan it looks like a rainy day cloudy blue. So blue it is :)

Talent Pool
This is a lovely sky blue color. In the pan, it looks similar to Tilt, but seems to have more green to it.

Review : MAC Daft Pink Blush

Ahhhh :)
What better to start a blog off with than one of my VERY few HG blushes!
(yes, being the resourceful person that I happen to be, it is depotted! Can I get a WOOT WOOT for Back2MAC?...)

Here we have Daft Pink blush by MAC which was introduced in the Colour Craft Collection

Let me tell you, this blush is sooo amazing!
It is a midtone pink with small yellow veining running thru it. It gives your skin SUCH* an amazing glow. It does not contain glitter, but more of a shimmer. Think of a downplayed Soft & Gentle MSF, but with pink instead of gold.
If you can envision that, then that is what we have here :)

When I first tried this, I was kind of apprehensive. It doesn't go on too much in the first swipe. I was a little cautious about adding more as I was afraid to look clownish :P But when I did, it didn't add much more PINK, but rather that lovely "shimmer". It can be used with a light hand to just light up the face, or it can be used with a heavier hand to add some good color.

I think this would look wonderful on any skintone really. I have major red undertones in my skin, and this instead of playing them up, manages to kind of cover them (with foundation of course!)
Here is an example of Daft on my skin:

Ahhhh, I love it!

As far as I'm concerned this is a major must have!

What do you think? If you have used this leave a comment with your skin color and how you liked it!
Until next time..... <3
